CHÂTEAU BELLEGRAVE

CHÂTEAU BELLEGRAVE

Pauillac, Bordeaux, France

Château Bellegrave lies in the south of Pauillac, between Château Latour, Pichon-Longueville and Lynch-Bages.

Formerly the property of Armand Roux, the estate was purchased in 1901, by his business partner and sole heir, H. Van-Der-Voort, a trader in San-Francisco.

In 1954, Gabriel Meffre, a renowned nurseryman from the Comtat Venaissin, fell under the spell of the Médoc while out searching for markets to sell his plants. Smitten, he bought several estates in Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac and Saint-Julien. Decades later, Gabriel's son, J.P Meffre, now already the owner of Château Du Glana and Château Lalande in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, purchased Bellegrave.

Today, his sons, Ludovic and Julien, run this estate.
